Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Client: Hornets Sports & Entertainment

A joint venture of New York City-based Turner Construction and local contractor D.A. Everett Construction Group will upgrade the Spectrum Center, home of the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, Turner announced in a press release.

The project will renovate the 19-year-old building during the next two NBA off seasons, beginning in May and finishing before the 2025-26 season begins.

Work this year will include modifications to traffic flow in the stadium, the addition of a fourth vomitory on the arena’s lower level, the relocation of two clubs, the addition of a new courtside club and the renovation of the entire suite level.

In the 2025 offseason, the project team will renovate the main concourse, add 2,500 lower-level seats, replace all existing seats in the arena’s bowl and renovate the founder’s level of the stadium.

Additionally, Turner and Raleigh, North Carolina-based D.A. Everett will provide behind-the-scenes upgrades for media, teams and entertainment at the Spectrum Center.
